Catching
Catch rates, ball types, auto-catch rules and shinies.
The chance to catch
When a wild Pokémon falls, a ball is thrown by itself (if your rules say so). The chance is
catch % = floor(base catch rate^0.75) ± 3 + ball bonus (between 0 and 100)
For example base 255 → about 63%, base 45 → about 17%, base 3 → about 2%.
| Ball | Bonus | Throw time | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poké Ball | +0% | 1.25 s | ₽100 |
| Great Ball | +5% | 1.00 s | ₽500 |
| Ultra Ball | +10% | 0.75 s | ₽2,000 |
| Master Ball | always | 0.50 s | QP / League Shop |
The Magic Ball Oak item adds more.
Auto-catch rules
In the BAG you choose which ball goes at which Pokémon. The first matching rule wins:
- New shiny
- New Pokémon
- Caught shiny
- Already caught
At the start, “Already caught” throws nothing. If you run out of the chosen ball, a cheaper one is used.
Shinies
On routes 1 in 8,192 wild Pokémon is shiny (dungeons 1 in 4,096). A shiny counts double for your click attack.
Dungeon Tokens
Every catch (not every defeat) pays Dungeon Tokens — more on harder routes. Catching Pokémon you already have counts too, which is why the “Already caught” rule matters.
