Day Care and breeding

Hatch eggs and breed Lv 100 Pokémon for permanent attack.

Opening the Day Care

The Day Care opens after 10 defeats on Route 3 (PARTY → DAY CARE). You start with 1 egg slot; slot n costs 500 × n QP, up to 4.

Eggs

Poké Marts sell eggs for QP (Fire, Water, Grass, Fighting, Electric and Dragon 1,000 · Mystery 700); fossils from the Underground hatch here too. Each egg hatches a random Pokémon from its list.

Eggs grow with every Pokémon you defeat: round(√n) steps, where n is the route’s difficulty (gyms count as 3 × badge + 1). An egg needs egg cycles × 40 steps.

When it hatches: a new Pokémon joins you; one you already have gets +25% attack for good (×5 if it hatches shiny, 1 in 1,024).

Breeding

A Pokémon at level 100 can be put in the Day Care. It turns into an egg and doesn’t fight until it hatches — then it’s back at level 1 with +25% attack on top of what it had. Repeat to keep stacking.

Vitamins

Protein (League Shop, Indigo Plateau, ₽10,000, +10% per purchase) adds +1 flat attack per hatch per Protein; up to 5 per Pokémon. Each one makes its egg a little longer.

Hatchery helpers

After 100 hatches you can hire helpers (Sam, Blake, Parker; Kris for diamonds). Each takes an egg slot and breeds your Lv 100 Pokémon on its own, for a fee per egg.
