Card packs
Free packs on a timer, 4 card tiers and a permanent attack bonus.
Getting started with cards
Cards open with the Kanto Set 1 quest line in Celadon City, after Erika’s Rainbow Badge. The Card Collector gives you 3 starter packs and explains each part as you go.
Packs
- Free packs arrive on a timer: one every 60 minutes at first (down to 30 with upgrades), stored up to 5 (up to 10). They keep coming while you’re away.
- Buying a pack costs 3,000 Quest Points.
- A pack has 5 cards at first (up to 10). Every card but the last is common (77%) or uncommon (23%); the last card is the rare slot: 15% rare at first, up to 80% with upgrades. If you haven’t had a rare for 15 packs, the next one is guaranteed.
- 1 pack in 500 is a god pack (all rare). 1 card in 256 is pulled shiny on the spot.
Tiers: Normal → Gold → Animated → Shiny
Copies of a card raise its tier. Rarer cards need fewer copies:
| Next tier | Common | Uncommon | Rare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | 5 | 4 | 3 |
| Animated | 15 | 12 | 8 |
| Shiny | 30 | 24 | 16 |
Why collect: attack
Each card makes that Pokémon stronger in battle: Normal +2%, Gold +5%, Animated +10%, Shiny +20%.
Upgrades and the vault
Six upgrades (cards per pack, pack timer, storage, rare odds, god pack chance, vault loot) fill up from their own source and cost ₽50K / 250K / 1M / 4M / 15M per level. Duplicates of maxed cards and every pack fill the vault; when it’s full it gives a pile of items you can already get in the game.
